1. To be eligible for the complimentary dotsure.co.za Accidental Cover, you must:

 

a) be a permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa;

b) be above the age of 18 (eighteen) years old;

c) be a current Hill’s customer; and

d) opt in on the Hill’s landing page to access the offer.

 

*Complimentary cover means the sponsored cover, subsidised by Hill’s, offered to qualifying Hill’s customers on the dotsure.co.za Accidental Cover pet insurance plan premium for the first 2 (two) full calendar months following inception of the policy (“complimentary period”).

 

  1. Qualifying pet age limit: 8 (eight) weeks – 12 (twelve) years old.

 

  1. For the avoidance of doubt, the complimentary dotsure.co.za Accidental Cover will only be available to qualifying Hill’s customers whose policies incept between 24 November 2022 and 01 February 2025, thereafter dotsure.co.za, in its sole and unfettered discretion, may opt to renew the offer on a monthly basis.

 

  1. The complimentary cover entitles a qualifying potential policyholder to have sponsored cover, subsidised by Hill’s, for one pet (cat/dog), per household for the first 2 (two) full calendar months of their Accidental Plan pet insurance policy (pro-rata premium and value-added products/product extensions excluded).

 

  1. Value-added products/extensions such as the dotsure.co.za Sub-limit Buster, Excess Waiver, Funeral Support, Multiple-pet discount, and access to the dotsure.co.za Manage Portal, will only be available on these policies after the complimentary cover period lapses, or if the policyholder upgrades to a different plan before the complimentary period lapses.

 

  1. For the avoidance of doubt, should a policyholder upgrade to a different plan and / or add an additional pet during the complimentary period, they will no longer be eligible for the complimentary cover.

 

  1. The complimentary cover will only be active at the beginning of the next full calendar month following inception of the policy.

 

  1. All applications for insurance made via the dotsure.co.za (or any of its partner) website/s are subject to, and must comply with, dotsure.co.za’s normal approval criteria and are governed by the normal terms and conditions that apply to the requested product. The full terms and conditions are contained within dotsure.co.za’s policy documents.

 

  1. Please note that should you qualify for the complimentary cover, after expiry of the two months, you will have the option to either continue with the Accidental Plan option at the premium communicated at sign-up, or to upgrade to a higher cover option or to cancel the policy. Should you fail to cancel the policy or upgrade to a higher plan at the end of the two months, you will automatically be debited the Accidental Plan premium from month three and onwards.

 

  1. dotsure.co.za reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this complimentary cover offer with or without prior notice. The decision of dotsure.co.za in all matters under its control is final and binding.

 

  1. dotsure.co.za shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
