1. Any reference in these terms and conditions to “dotsure.co.za” refers to Dotsure Limited (Registration number 2006/000723/06), a licensed non-life insurer and an authorised financial services provider (FSP39925).

 

2. Any reference in these terms and conditions to "Name Your Price™" refers to a vehicle insurance product underwritten by dotsure.co.za.

 

3. This competition will run from Wednesday, 15 May 2024 to 23:59 on Monday, 15 July 2024 (“competition period”).

 

4. There will be 5 (five) winners in total. Each winner will receive R1,000 (one thousand Rand).

 

5. To qualify for the competition, you must:

 

a)  be a permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa;

b)  be above the age of 18 (eighteen) years old;

c)  be an active Name Your Price™ policyholder before the competition period; and

d)  have the Smart Driver tag in your car and linked to your phone and not have it cancelled during the competition period.

 

6. For the avoidance of doubt, please note that an active policy means that the most recently due premium has been paid for the policy and was not cancelled during the competition period.

 

7. Subject to clause 5, to qualify for the R1,000 (one thousand Rand) cash prize, you must:

 

a) have driven a minimum of 100 (one hundred) kilometres during the competition period; and

b) drive responsibly, obey traffic rules, and maintain focus on the road.

 

8. The Smart Driver tag/app will track your driving behaviour relative to the indicators measured in accordance with the Smart Driver Rewards Programme (distractions, manoeuvres, speeding and context) and dotsure.co.za will use the data from the Smart Driver app to pick the most responsible drivers in accordance with clause 7.

 

9. The 5 (five) winners will be identified based on the criteria detailed above and should there be duplicate average scores, the winners will be determined in a random draw from the drivers identified in accordance with clause 8.

 

10. The winners will be announced by 31 July 2024.

 

11. Please note that should you meet the qualifying criteria; you will be automatically entered into the competition. Should you wish to opt out, you may do so by sending an e-mail to smartsupport@dotsure.co.za.

 

12. The cash prize will be sent to the winner via EFT to the bank account details linked to the Name Your Price™ policy.

 

13. The winners will be notified by a dotsure.co.za representative using the contact details reflected on their policy. The notification will be sent to the e-mail address (and/or phone number) associated with the policy.

 

14. The prize is non-transferable and there is no alternative.

 

15. We will respond to any questions or queries about the competition via email, smartsupport@dotsure.co.za.

 

16. By entering the competition, entrants accept the terms and conditions and consent that, should they be drawn as the winner, dotsure.co.za may publish their name and surname on the dotsure.co.za social accounts and the monthly dotsure.co.za newsletter. Should the winner however not want their name and surname published, they must inform dotsure.co.za immediately, failing which dotsure.co.za will proceed to publish same.

 

17. No employees, directors, members, consultants, partners, or agents of Dotsure Limited or any of its related or interrelated entities are eligible to enter this competition, nor are any of their immediate family members.

 

18. dotsure.co.za accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of taking part in the competition. dotsure.co.za further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the competition.

 

19. dotsure.co.za reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify these terms and conditions or to discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this competition with or without prior notice. The decision of dotsure.co.za in all matters under its control is final and binding.

 

20. Should dotsure.co.za be unable to contact the winner and/or should the winner fail to respond to communications sent to the contact details provided by them and/or fail to respond to the communication provided to them by dotsure.co.za via email within 7 (seven) days from the date that they have been notified by dotsure.co.za, dotsure.co.za reserves the right to draw another winner, withdraw the prize completely or donate the prize to a registered charity of its choice. For the avoidance of doubt the date of first notification shall be the date on which a dotsure.co.za representative emails and/or calls you and mention that you have been drawn as the winner.

 

21. dotsure.co.za shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation, or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

 

22. The competition will be governed by South African law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

 

23. These terms and conditions constitute the competition rules which are available for inspection on the dotsure.co.za website.

 

24. ALL ENTRANTS WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
