Ever said something like this to your favourite four-legged friend? “I’ve booked you into a pet hotel, Poopsie.” If you haven’t, but you’d kind of like to, this blog is for you. Amazing people all over South Africa want to help you treat your pets to something special. Check out these luxury pet days, pet stays and pet hotels.

Pet hotel

Capetonians can board their pup or kitty overnight in the luxurious @ Frits. It’s a dedicated pet-first establishment that also offers training, day-care and spa facilities. Accommodation options include dorms, a deluxe suite, and a platinum suite. “You won’t leave your children in an environment that you yourself will not feel comfortable in,” the owner, Yanic Klue told BusinessTech. “Trust and consistency is everything,” They also offer wellness, security cameras in every room and a dog park.

Admission depends on pets being up to date with vaccinations, amongst other requirements. Take care to check that your pet qualifies before you book!

Pet spa

Lucky Dogs and Cats is well named, and they live up to their promise of “making your fur babies look and feel great” with 45 years’ experience cleaning and coddling canines and felids. For example, if your kitty has sensitive skin, they’ll use a “special barrier shampoo” to soothe it. If you’re particular (we hope you are), their website offers individual testimonials for each aspect of their grooming service like delicious bathing, accurate nail clipping, important hygiene cleaning, safe scissor trimming, and even the awkward but essential anal gland cleaning (where necessary). With 31 Google reviews and an average of 4.1 stars, your pets are in safe hands. They also offer homemade pet meals and will fetch and drop your pet in an airconditioned vehicle kitted with the correct travel-friendly boxes.
