On 14 February 2019, the first episode of The Bachelor South Africa aired on Mnet. Viewers were kept on the edge of their seats with drama and their hearts melted when we launched our “Unconditional Love” campaign, which educates the public on the importance of adopting shelter pets and gives 13 adorable shelter pets a chance to find their perfect human matches.

Love is in the air and will be on-air for the next 13 weeks, as the beautiful bachelorettes try to win the heart of fitness fanatic and animal lover, Lee Thompson. The ladies, however, aren't the only "lovesick puppies". 13 AACL shelter pets are also on a journey to find love and their forever homes.

Each week during the entire season of The Bachelor South Africa, a shelter pooch or kitty will be up for adoption. Some of the poor pets come from broken backgrounds and all of them are in desperate need of a human who will love them unconditionally.

The first three pets have been revealed and they’re simply FURbulous! The first pet bachelorette is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Labrador with chocolate brown eyes and golden locks of hair. She’s sooo pretty and even looks good without makeup. She's playful and adventurous. She'll join you for a jog any day (or night)!

The second pet bachelor is an intelligent and active 5-year old German Shepard, which enjoys attention and will sit on your command. He is looking for a serious commitment and will reward his companion with unconditional love.

Our third pet is a 3-year-old white/tan Terrier type female dog. She’s an adorable lassie with a 5-star personality. She comes from an abusive background and is ready to move on with her new family. (She’s the pet in the header image).

The first 3 pet bachelors and bachelorette are yet to find their forever home. If you wish to adopt one of the first pets, please email your name, surname, location and contact details to Lise-Mari@dotsure.co.za. Spread the love and the news and together let’s give them a new lease on life.
