As dotsure.co.za brings M-Net viewers The Bachelor South Africa, it launches Unconditional Love, a comprehensive digital campaign to spread love fur and wide.

Love comes in all shapes, forms and sizes. Finding love or “The One” is hard, even if you are Lee Thompson, The Bachelor SA. As John Mayer says, “Love is a verb”. It takes a lot of work, wooing, even gifts to win the heart of your bae. There’s no doubt that as we journey with Lee through the course of this series, we’ll be reminded that when it comes to love, heartache is no stranger. That feeling that we’re all familiar with - especially if you’re one of the girls that Lee will send home.

It is for this exact reason that pet insurance provider dotsure.co.za decided to use this opportunity and platform to showcase just how amazing pets are and how undeserving we are of their Unconditional Love. We don’t have to woo our pets with gifts, they won’t get cross if we forget their birthday, anniversaries, they don’t care if you’re fat or thin, rich or poor, black or white…they don’t even care if you wear Crocs. All animal lovers will relate - there’s nothing better than cuddles from your fur-friend after a tuff day at the office, after a fight with your partner or after a break-up.  Undeservingly, without judgement, they Love Unconditionally and it’s time we return the favour. “Our research shows that people watching the show are animal lovers, just like The Bachelor, Lee Thompson. We want to encourage other pet lovers to get behind us and spread this message of Unconditional Love and give these animals a voice and a fighting chance…they deserve it.” – says David Roache, Managing Director of pet insurance provider, dotsure.co.za.

Getting involved is as easy as 1,2,3! You can open your hearts and homes to one of our 13 eligible shelter pet bachelor/ bachelorettes. You can show love to your own animals by taking out pet insurance from dotsure.co.za and in doing so help us feed a shelter pet for a month. Or you can help us name our eligible pets and not only will you stand a chance of winning your share of R65 000 but dotsure.co.za will also provide the named pet with insurance cover for a year! “Unconditional Love is waiting for you and it’s as close as your nearest shelter! You can’t change a shelter pet’s past, but you can rewrite their future” – quotes Roache.

“This Valentine’s Day, we want to remind pet owners about the responsibilities of looking after a furry friend and to raise awareness of the plight of all those homeless pets who are in desperate need of affection and a caring home.” – says Roache. That’s why the country’s biggest online pet insurance provider and main sponsor of The Bachelor SA is partnering with the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) to help South Africans find place in their hearts - and their homes - for delightful pets awaiting adoption.

Adopt

Each week, starting February 14th, 2019, dotsure.co.za will feature one gorgeous pet bachelor or bachelorette looking for a forever home. To help find its perfect human family, The AACL, which is looking after each eligible pet temporarily, makes sure the match is perfect and the transition is smooth. Watch out for the unique inserts introducing you to each week’s pet bachelor/ette on the show. The inserts will also feature on dotsure.co.za’s social media. Interested humans can apply for their dream pet via www.dotsure.co.za.

Help feed a shelter pet

dotsure.co.za cares about all animals, though, not just the ones in the spotlight. With the help of the public, even pets who aren’t featured can benefit during the Unconditional Love campaign. It’s tail-waggingly easy. From the launch of the show until the 9th of May, if you show your ultimate commitment to your own pet by buying a dotsure.co.za pet policy online, you will automatically feed a pet in need awaiting adoption at the AACL for a month. There’s no extra cost to the dotsure.co.za policy holder, and no action is needed once the policy is activated. Pet lovers can simply start a policy any time of day from 14 February and 9 May 2019 and grub’s up for a deserving homeless pet for the next couple of months.

Help name a pet

dotsure.co.za is including more than hungry, homeless pets and human adopters, of course. Members of the public can win their share of R65 000 for using their imagination and the dotsure.co.za website. Name the Pet is a game hosted on www.dotsure.co.za that invites players to come up with cute and kind names for each week’s Unconditional Love pet bachelor/ettes awaiting adoption. Entrance is free and no policy is required. There is R5 000 up for grabs weekly for doing what pet lovers do so well – putting a name to an adorable furball! dotsure.co.za will also ensure that all 13 adopted and named pets be looked after by sponsoring their pet insurance for a year. But wait, did somebody also say sweepstakes?

Viewers can also enter BachLeague sweepstakes on M-Net’s website and win up to R50 000 cash in a points-based contest. Entrants answer questions about The Bachelor show to stand a chance to win weekly prizes or the grand total cash prize. If the winner of the grand total cash prize is a dotsure.co.za pet policy holder, that amount goes up to R75 000**.

Watch the proudly South African version of this heart-warming reality romance show that has wowed audiences all over the world and win. You can be a part of the matchmaking as a handsome saffer bachelor and one lucky local lady and a whole lot of loving pets find love with your help.
